General Terms and Conditions

The rates provided are based on the information provided by the client during the quoting process, and any variations to this information at the time of booking may result in a change to the rates offered. Once the client confirms the booking, the Booking Confirmation Terms and Conditions will also apply.

Rates are subject to equipment and space availability, load-ability, and acceptance by the carrier.
Rates provided are valid for standard cargo and are not applicable for non-containerized goods or dangerous goods.
Special conditions apply to flexi tanks, refrigerated goods, dangerous goods, and valuable goods.
All relevant documents must be handed over at time of booking to ensure customs formalities and cut-offs are met.
Alpha Shipping does not guarantee shipment dates or arrival times.

Booking Confirmation

This booking confirmation is issued subject to all the terms and conditions of Alpha Shipping’s regular form of bill of lading. In tendering the goods to Alpha Shipping for shipment, the shipper or merchant expressly accepts and agrees to all terms and conditions mentioned herein.

Freight, Demurrage and Charges

The merchant or shipper agrees to be liable for all demurrage, detention, storage, and per diem charges that may arise due to delay or abandonment of shipment not attributable to Alpha Shipping.

Unclaimed Cargo

The shipper or merchant guarantees and agrees to take delivery of the goods immediately upon conclusion or fulfillment of carriage and acknowledges responsibility for charges resulting from delay, release issues, abandonment, or failure to take delivery.
